Kansas Doctor Admits Illegal Sales Of Painkillers

A northeast Kansas doctor has pleaded guilty to illegally selling prescriptions for painkillers at low-income apartment complexes in Kansas City, Mo.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 67-year-old Wayne Williamson, of Olathe, Kan., also admitted in his plea Tuesday that he defrauded the federal government and threatened a state medical investigator.

Williamson is a licensed osteopathic physician. His plea agreement calls for a three-year prison term, restitution to Medicaid and Medicare and surrender of his medical license.

Prosecutors say Williamson routinely drove to apartment complexes in Kansas City where people lined up to buy illegal prescriptions for painkillers and other drugs such as Oxycontin and Xanax.

Williamson continued his illegal activities even after Missouri suspended his license to prescribe certain drugs in March 2008.

Poor Laughing always the last to know when it come to Doctor's selling prescription pain killers.

Maybe you should just listen to Rush Limbaugh and follow him to the doctor's office.

This is "Doctor Dumbass" his medical license was suspended in 2008 by Missouri, yet he continued to drive around and sell prescriptions in low income apartment complexes in Kansas City, Mo. Duh! Did he not think the Feds were going catch and arrest him making these neighborhood house calls?

The DEA really does keep an eye out for "writers", back in the 70's Topeka had Shirley and Clarcke, everyone I knew had a scritpt for speed and downers.

It is a damned shame too because it makes it a lot harder for folks that really need "pain management" harder to recieve it, I am really out of the loop these days but even I know there is lot's of folks selling their scripts, some to help pay for them, I just know they are to easy to find and these are legitimate doctors trying to take care of their patients.
